To start with the heroes fall into either melee or ranged groups, but then things get a little more complex as you get into the rolls that a character is designed to play such as a medic, tank, support and so on.Įach of the characters has around four (maybe five) attacks that they can do and again these differ from character to character. There is a fair bit of diversity to the cast of characters. While when you first play the game you will probably pick the hero that you think is the coolest. It is fair to say that Heroes of Newerth had its own dedicated fan base and that the game must have been doing something good to stay around for a decade. It has been going on strong for ten years and while not as huge as League of Legends.
